In honor of this week’s festivities, I’m dropping a list of the Philadelphia area’s best 420 beers of the year. Did your favorite make the cut?
Normally, Imprint Beer Company in Hatfield opens Thursday through Sunday, but they’re opening on Wednesday, 4/20 (at 4:20 PM) to celebrate with a brand new collaboration: Imprint Blackberry Blue Raspberry Marshmallow Gelato Terps Schmoojee®. They collaborated with Twenty Two Collective, a lifestyle brand & clothing company, on their famous heavily-fruited sours for the holiday.
It wouldn’t be a Philly beer post without mentioning our new neighbors in Other Half Brewing. Regarded as one of the best breweries in the country, Other Half’s known for its hazy beers, and they dropped several for “Munchees Week.” Stop by Other Half’s new Fishtown brewpub for all your 4/20 needs. Click the post below to view all the details on each of Other Half’s Muchees Week releases.
The Alchemist’s Heady Topper, though not a 4/20 beer from Philly, they distribute throughout the area somewhat frequently. In fact, The Alchemist’s classic IPA including Heady Topper just landed at bars and distributors near you. Have a “Heady” 4/20 with one of the best West Coast IPAs in the world.
Stable 12 Brewing in Phoenixville’s Double IPA, High Horse, comes in at #4 on my list. They brewed this 8% DIPA with brewed with Columbus, Simcoe, and Strata hops. They also added G-Rilla Terpenes for extra dankness.
The last of Philly’s best 420 beers of the year comes out of New Jersey. Double Nickel Super Mega Dank 420 Chronic Kush Grand Daddy Supreme is a 7% hazy IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Azacca hops. It doesn’t get hazier than this. Click here for DN’s store.
