Brandt’s New Blog Series: Celebrity Interviews

Okay, hear me out. I try, week in and week out, to interview the most off-the-wall celebrity I can until I finally interview someone like Kanye. Crazy, right? Who would willingly want to sit down and answer my questions? My wife and kid don’t even like doing that.

This isn’t just centered around people ‘famous’ in the group. No, this goes beyond the Jerry’s of the world (love youuuuu Jerry). This is about finding the most abstract celebrities or celebrity adjacent people. I already have one lined up, and boy is it a doozy.

“Celebrity adjacent?” you might be asking yourself. Yes, you read it correctly. I want people that aren’t celebrities themselves, but are closely related. There will definitely be a good chunk of celebrities themselves (obscure ones, mind you), but I also want people close to them.

Big Ben’s barber? Yupp. Bill Cowher’s real estate agent that is seemingly getting him a house in Cleveland every year? Book ‘em. Will Ferrell’s college roommate? Uh-huh. The weirder the better.

Now, to make this even more fun, I don’t get to choose who I pursue. That’s right, the Facebook group does. I will provide a list of five or so people I could reach out to, and the group would vote on it. Whoever wins the vote is who I’m going to interview. Even if I don’t like the person or I’m not excited about talking to them, I need to put forth the same effort.

How can YOU help me with this? Easy, you can join the Facebook group AND give me suggestions on who you’d like me to interview. I cannot promise that I will use every suggestion, but I will definitely incorporate everyone’s suggestions into my weekly lists.

Think of every obscure celebrity you can – either on a Pittsburgh or local level. The more off-the-wall, the better. This series will be super fun and I cannot wait for everyone to participate.
