This release from the past week excites me so. It’s not everyday that a home brew makes it big. The winning brew from the North Hills Home Brew Fest has reached the taps at the Pittsburgh OG itself, Penn Brewery

Bash Brew, or Adam and Laurie Bashline, are a dynamic husband and wife duo who continue to push the envelope with beer in the Pittsburgh area. In fact, you may have had their Shatfaced Pumpkin Roll Stout at Drink the Cookie Table Yesterday. I’m always wowed with the beers that they produce on a small scale, and I will be heading to Penn this week for sure to check out this award winner!

Tortuga En Fuego is a 5.8% beer and made with cherrywood smoked malt. Hopped with Simcoe and crafted with fresh poblano peppers, this American Pale Ale is smoky, smooth and sweet in all of the right ways. A peppery and smoky brew, this is available at Penn Brewery for a limited time only! Stop by ASAP if you want to try this killer brew as much as I do!

Congrats to Bash Brew for this epic achievement! Have you tried a Bash Brew? Let me know your favorite! I can’t wait to taste this Fuego this week!
