It’s gearing up to be a big craft beer weekend here in Pittsburgh and I wanted to make sure you were on top of all of the events going down over the next few days.
From festivals, to releases, to food trucks, I have you covered on the craft beer events you can’t miss around Pittsburgh this weekend.
Note: You can find all of these events and more over at FueledPittsburgh.com!
Make Friday a low-key night and head to Sharpsburg for Hitchhiker’s Brewing‘s release of Triple Thick, a “chocolate and vanilla milkshake stout”. The brewery says this beer features “tons of cocoa nibs and madagascar vanilla beans” and is available on draft and in cans starting tomorrow.
If you get hungry, Kilimanjaro Flavor will be on-site at Hitchhiker, serving up some of their Tanzanian cuisine. If that’s not your jam, check out Dancing Gnome where you can grab a pizza from Alberta’s Pizza.
The event will feature tons of great breweries, both national and local, as well ciders, meads and even cocktails from Goodlanders Cocktail Brewery.
The event will be one-session and run from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Tickets are just $99 and include a t-shirt and commemorative taster glass. You can grab tickets here.
Note: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID (within 48 hours prior to entry) is required to enter the festival.
Rest up from The Big Pour and head over to Mindful Brewing in Castle Shannon to check out the latest release from the She Knows Beer series.
She Knows Beer is a collaborative beer series project spearheaded by The Pittsburgh Brewery and Diversity Council. Per Adam Zane, one of the Council’s founding members, “She Knows Beer is a beer series that helps us shine a spotlight on a major issue (gender-based discrimination/harassment) in the industry using what we know best for the purpose of good!”.
The first beer in the series was released via Necromancer Brewing. This time around, Mindful Brewing has put together ‘She Knows Beer: Persephone’s Prevail’, a tart, Pomegranate sour. You can check out this beer at Mindful Brewing from 2pm-9pm.
Proceeds of this beer sale will go to WHAMglobal: Women’s Health Activist Movement Global.
If you check out these events, let me know what you think! Or, if you have any ideas for upcoming Pittsburgh beer events I should feature, feel free to send them my way. I love hearing from readers. My e-mail is [email protected]
