The world of Pittsburgh breweries has been in a constant state of change since the pandemic. Many places have shifted to can sales or larger outdoor taproom spaces to accommodate everyone’s needs. One of these places is Aurochs Brewing.
Pittsburgh’s only dedicated gluten-free brewery, Aurochs has been focusing on canning and distributing their delicious celiac-safe beers to many states and offering shipping throughout Pennsylvania and several neighboring states. Needless to say, they’ve been super busy at Aurochs!
But wait, there’s more! Until the end of the month, Aurochs will be serving their tasty brews in pints and four-packs at Soergel Orchards in the North Hills. Operating during the Fall Fest hours each weekend, you can grab a beer while you pick out the perfect pumpkin and celebrate all things autumn!
Beers will vary based on the weekend and what’s available from the brewery. Recently, Aurochs released a Harvest Wit, a light and easy beer perfect for day drinking. With an under 4% ABV, it’s a seasonal brew that’s totally crushable.
Then, there’s the main event, the Aurochs Pumpkin Ale. This brew has a cult following and flies off the shelves! 6.3% and brewed with pumpkin and a variation of carmelized roasted millet. Spiced with cinnamon, pumpkin spice, honey, and molasses, this is a surprisingly clean and easy drinking pumpkin beer! Pumpkin Ale should be available at Soergel’s on the weekends for to-go sales and on-site consumption! Head out and grab a pint of Aurochs at the pumpkin patch next weekend!
