There’s nothing better than when two of your favorite artists collaborate. Like when Meek Mill drops the hottest album of 2021 with a great feature. Okay, maybe not exactly like that, but this is really exciting, too. Second Sin and Ten7 Brewing, two of Philadelphia’s top breweries, collaborated on a beer. Second Sin and Ten7 Brewing joined forces to brew a brand new Double IPA. They used some of your favorite hops and call it Se7enth Sin, a nod to both of their brewery’s names. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the 1995 film Se7en, but you’ll like it a lot more than Gwyneth Paltrow’s head in a box.
The breweries loaded this hazy Double IPA with Simcoe, Strata, and Citra hops, producing bright notes of pineapple, kiwi, and the classic Simcoe pine. The combination of fruity and pine notes makes for an ethereal hop experience. This beer is easy-drinking despite being 8% and bursting with flavor.
Ten7 Brewing released Se7enth Sin already. It’s available on tap at their North Wales brewery and in their online store now, but it hits Second Sin Brewing’s online store and taps next Thursday, October 7th. You don’t want to miss it. Initial Untappd reviews call this beer “Great haze with some bite” and a “Strong tropical bouquet.”
