This is a polarizing take, but I love a good good pumpkin brew yinz guys! With fall festivals, pumpkin picking, and all things autumnal in the air, these brews are hitting perfectly for me right now. There were some amazing pumpkin releases this week that I need in my life – here’s what’s on tap!

Brew 1: Pumpkin Bay Retriever: Leaning Cask Brewing. This a big 8.5% brew to warm up with by a bonfire on a crisp fall evening! Chock full of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, all spice, and fresh ginger, this is loaded with all of those necessary fall spices! Slightly bitter and earthy, this brew has all of the things I love about autumn brews. Grab one on draft or to-go in a 4 pack!

Brew 2: Throwback: Hitchhiker Brewing. This is a 6.6% brew that has been released this week after a long hiatus at Hitchhiker. Brewed with pumpkin and toasted malts, this beer is conditioned on a blend of pumpkin spices and vanilla bean for a seasonal treat like no other. Stop by the Sharpsburg location and you can try it as soft serve (OMG WHAT)! Make it a throwback any day with this beer!

Brew 3: Pumpkination Point: Acclamation Brewing. I had to get PSL up in the mix! A 5% pumpkin spice latte stout, this blends all things fall and coffee into the perfect beer. Made with boiled squash and caramelized brown sugar, this beer is spiced with lots of fall flavors and sounds amazing. Lactose and cold brew coffee make it a latte you won’t forget!

These are just three of the recent Pittsburgh pumpkin releases. I can’t wait to scoop these up and see what else Pittsburgh has to offer this Autumn!
