Mark your calendars, friends! If you love Pittsburgh brews as much as I do, you’ve seen that we’re fully in Oktoberfest season and it’s absolutely glorious. While the taplists are loaded with marzens and festbiers aplenty, breweries are also turning out amazing Oktoberfest events!
Cinderlands Beer, one of my favorite places to go in the ‘Burgh for a brew, recently announced Cinderfest, which will occur on Thursday, October 7th. From 4-9pm that day, celebrate thirsty Thursday at the Cinderlands Warehouse with an amazing event in the middle of Three Rivers Beer Week!
So what’s going on that day? First, there’s German music. Then, there’s brewery games galore – stump, cornhole, giant beer pong and more will occur. You can even challenge the brewers for prizes and eternal glory! At 7pm, there will be a steinhoisting competition that is limited to the first 50 entrants. If you’re competitive and love all things Oktoberfest, look no further!
There will also be a costume contest, so come in your best seasonal garb! Most importantly, the scratch kitchen will be serving all things traditional and German for the night. Expect kielbasa, bratwurst, knockwurst, pierogis, potato salad and spaetzle. Yum. Cinderlands is my favorite place to grab a brew and a killer meal, so I know this food will be out of this world!
