With the colder nights and temperatures slowly lowering here in the ‘Burgh, fall is coming, everyone! As someone who ADORES all things autumn, spooky and seasonally appropriate, fall brews are my favorite. Yes, I’m basic and like my pumpkin. However, there is SO much more! Here are the early fall beers I need this week to usher in this brand new season!

Beer one: They’re Coming to Get you, Rhubarbara (Trace Brewing). As a horror movie geek, the name on this brew makes me ridiculously happy. A 5.0% beer, this is a lactose free gose that is named after the zombie film GOAT, George Romero. Fermented with rhubarb, cherry and apricot, this fruity brew has me dreaming of foggy fall mornings!

Beer two: Crispy and the Bandit (412 Brewery). I’ve been burned (no pun intended) on smoked lagers in the past. However, this one is utterly perfect! A 5.6% ridiculously balanced brew, this is the right amount of smoky and crispy. Personally, I’d love to have this beer fireside on a weekend spent camping!

Beer three: Okta (Dancing Gnome Beer). I started out my Pittsburgh fall beer journey with this tasty brew this year. A 5.2% lager with a lovely deep orange hue, this beer has a rich malty taste with a touch of caramelly sweetness that elevate the beer. A Yinzer favorite for Marzens, cheers in the new season with this beer ASAP!

Do you have a Pittsburgh brew that is a fall favorite to you? Or, did you try something new this year? Raise a glass to the new season with all of the amazing choices that Pittsburgh has to offer!
