A juicy, fruity brew can be just the ticket in August. With temps still soaring and days still long, a fruit forward brew is perfect at the end of the day.

This week, Burgh’ers Brewing has released one that I need to try.  Red Haven is their new fruited wheat beer that packs a nice punch at 7%. Fermented with the Weihenstephan Hefeweizen strain, it’s got all of those familiar hef notes many of us love. With the addition of lots of peach flavor, you’ve got a slam dunk.

Here’s the really cool part about the name behind the beer. Did you know that Chambersburg, PA is the home of some of the best peaches in the world? In fact, we are the 4th largest producer of peaches each year! With peak season every August, they’re juicy and packed with flavor. And these tasty boys are called Red Havens. How perfect!

Grab this brew at Burgh’ers Zelienople or Lawrenceville locations this week and try it out! Want to keep it summery and try something else? Try Cucumber Run, a fruited gose. Stocked with all of the summer staples of cucumbers, watermelon, and basil, this is an easy 4.2% drinker. Sounds refreshing!

You can also take a different summer route and try out one of my personal favorites at Burgh’ers. Visit Kennywood (metaphorically) and try out Jack Rabbit, an imperial double IPA. Hazy, malty, and oh-so-good, this 8.6% will make you feel like you’ve hit that double-dip on the iconic rollercoaster.

Burgh’ers has just the ticket for those late summer brews! With the Zelienople location open seven days a week and Lawrenceville from Wednesday-Sunday each week, life is just peachy at Burgh’ers Brewing!
