I love a good cup of coffee just as much as I love a pint of beer. In my younger years, I was a barista and learned a little about how to craft the perfect cup. When you combine two of my favorite things, you’ve got a masterpiece.
Bloomfield’s Trace Brewing has recently opened up their own coffee shop in the brewery. That’s right, you can snag a cup of coffee at Trace now! Open from 8am-3pm for coffee service daily, they are offering a tasty variety of daytime treats.
Love espresso? They’ve got you. There’s some really unique options available. Trace announced just this week that they’re now serving tea on nitro. Much like your favorite nitro stout, a coffee or tea on nitro changes the flavors and smooths everything out so it’s oh-so-perfect. Using an oolong tea that’s got honeydew, cantaloupe, and floral notes from Spectral Tea Company, you can experience this one of a kind tea any time Trace is open during the week (and the nitro cold brew too!).
So, I’m pretty hyped to finally try all of the tasty daytime treats at Trace, but I have to mention the brews available this week as well! IPA fans, take note, because the menu is totally stacked in your favor! I’m really interested in Moving Castle II (7.1%), one of the latest releases. The second in a series that focuses on new hop varieties, this brew uses Citra and HBC630 (a hop yet to be officially named) and lets the hops tell the story. With notes of apricot, melon and citrus zest, it’s got all of the fruity IPA flavors we know and love.
Trace also makes excellent saisons, and I’d love to sample Valleys (5.2%), a brew dry hopped with Strisselspalt and Motueka. A classic farmhouse brew, this one is simple, gentle sippin’. Try it out in the taproom!
Whether it’s 8am or 8pm, you can grab the perfect brew at Trace. Check out the only brewery/coffeehouse in the city and visit soon!
