This week, one of the things that excites me most are places with tons of options. Whether you’re an IPA fan, embrace the dark side with stouts, or pucker up for a good sour, we have so many brews in the ‘Burgh.
Two Frays Brewery is one of Pittsburgh’s newest breweries, but they’re coming out of the gate strong with some seriously great beers. Located in Garfield, they boast an adorable outdoor space and plenty of taps flowing for all. You can grab a beer there six days a week.
If you’d rather grab some beer to drink at home, you’re in luck! This week, Two Frays has SIX cans available to enjoy at home this week. That’s major. I’ll start off with my personal favorite, Jen’s Porter. Yes, it’s hot outside, but don’t count out this dark brew! An easy, balanced, and coffee flavored porter, this 5% brew drinks like the classic that it is.
Next, let’s chat about the summertime brews on taps. These styles are light, crushable, and perfect for a hot July evening. Love a saison? Check out Sor’Ace. A lighter 6.1% beer, this is lemony and fresh. Hopped with Sorachi, expect herbal notes and a sweeter, yeasty finish. Want to crush a Kolsch? Check out Together Better (4.1%). This one is that light, malty, slightly hoppy brew you can count out to deliver no matter what. Lastly, one I tried and really enjoyed at the brewery proper, The Salty Ginger. Made with French sea salt and coriander from Steel City Salt Co, these flavors blend together beautifully. Tart with lovely ginger notes, this is summer in a glass, try it out!
Lastly, I can’t forget you IPA folk out there. There’s LG2P, a New England IPA. Weighing in at 6.2%, a subtle juice bomb that uses experimental HBC586 hops. If you’re more of a session IPA fan, check out It’s Always Sunny with a Beer. Hopped with Eukanot, El Dorado, Galaxy and Kohatu hops. This is a melony brew with pine notes. An easy drinker, you’ll crush a pint (or two) of it no problem!
Want to check out a killer event next week? They’re hosting a Bar Food Brunch next weekend. Veggies N’at and Adda coffee will be bringing their wares to the brewery to start your Sunday funday off right. There’s a limited amount of tickets available to grab them ASAP if you’re interested! With all of these brews available to go and many available on draft at the brewery, there’s no excuse, you need to get to Two Frays ASAP!
