I’ve been kicking around the idea of creating a “morning” blog post series where I essentially just dump everything that I want to tell all of our followers in to one quick-to-read blog post. So, consider this the first edition of that series (post number 001).
This series will likely be a little rough, a little comical, and full of spelling errors and typos. However, I promise to try to pack as much value in to this series as I can and keep you up-to-date on Fueled happenings.
So here goes…
Yesterday afternoon, I formally reminded everyone of our next big beer event called Drink The Cookie Table (DTCT). DTCT is going to be a celebration of dessert beers and also happens to be the first “big” beer event we’re putting on. After numerous attempts at a big festival in 2020, this event is the culmination of a series of postponements due to COVID capacity issues.
I got the idea for DTCT while scrolling aimlessly through Facebook. After going down a major rabbit hole, I came across some wedding pictures of one of my Facebook friends and saw their elaborate cookie table in a few shots. I thought to myself, “what if we could build a beer festival around the cookie table concept?”. Thus, the idea for Drink The Cookie Table was born!
We’ve scoured the country looking for the top dessert beers producers and think we’ve put together a very nice lineup of producers. Expect a lot of sours, pastry stouts, milkshake IPAs, etc. (Don’t worry, we’ll still have some non-sweet things there as well).
Our list includes a number of local breweries as well. We teamed these breweries up with some of Pittsburgh’s top dessert producers to create some new and unique collabs for the region. We’re pretty excited to see what they come up with.
This coming Friday, we are dropping the brewery list in our Facebook group and then plan to put tickets on sale the following Friday (7/30/21!). If you’re not a member of the Facebook group, you may want to join so that you’re the first to know what breweries we’re bringing out for the event.
Our plan is for DTCT to be a two-session festival on November 6, 2021. If you purchased a ticket for FueledFest412 on March 14, 2021, your ticket will automatically transfer over to the new event. No need to buy another ticket.
New Products in the Store
We added two new products to the store yesterday, both of which are from Outdoor Beerdsman.
The first is their “Morning Are Bullsh*t Hoodie”. This super soft hoodie basically says everything that we’re thinking on a daily basis.
The second item is their “Coffee, Dogs & Sweatpants” crew neck sweatshirt. My wife loves this one not only because it describes her to a ‘T’, but also because she thinks it’s incredibly comfortable.
We only have a limited number of both in the store, so act fast before they are gone forever.
What you should read today
I found this really cool article in GuitarWorld (of all places) about SingleCut’s new cans which aim to help teach you how to play guitar. I’m not much of a guitar guy, but I found it to be pretty unique.
You can read that article here.
What you should listen to
Our friends at The Weekly Recap Podcast recently dropped a new episode of their podcast, where they drink some beers from Chicago! You can listen to that episode here.
What you should do
Just be nice and drink your water. The Mayo Clinic says men should drink 15.5 cups of water a day and women should drink 11.5 cups.
… and Fueled By Hops says everyone should be nice to one another.
