Celebrating an anniversary in the beer world, especially after enduring a pandemic and lots of changes last year, is extra sweet. This week, Pittsburgh’s own Four Points Brewing celebrates turning 3 and here’s what’s on tap!
First off, there’s a big one. Four Points brews a yearly triple to celebrate their birthday, and this time, we’ve been blessed with 4.3. This 11% brew has tons of dry hopped goodness and is loaded with TEN (say what?) types of hops. Citra, Mosaic, Strata, Lotus, Nelson, Vic Secret, Enigma, Idaho 7, Columbus and local Cascade hops make this brew a must-try. This is a complex, tasty brew that has notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and lots of Danky goodness.
Want something a little less intense in the ABV department? Fourth Street +Plus is a 6.6% variant of the house IPA I’ve grown to love from Four Points. This time, they’ve doubled the hops in the brew to create an amplified version of this beer. Expect a super saturated, lower ABV treat.
Three years demands three beers, correct? Rounding out the weekend’s releases, Cargo Van (6.4%) takes things right to the West Coast. Originally on draft when Four Points just started in their Charleroi taproom, this is an oldie, but a goodie. Dry hopped with Eureka and Idaho 7, this is a crisp, bitter and dank brew that sounds great for a hot day. Notes of citrus, pine and tropical fruit make this trip to the west coast one to remember!
Needless to say, get to either of Four Points’ locations ASAP this weekend to make sure you can partake in any or all of these glorious anniversary brews! Want to take your celebration home instead? They’re all in four packs. Cheers to 3 years and many more, Four Points!
