The greatest description anyone ever gave me about why they love Firestone Walker Brewing has to do with the struggle between the lion and the bear on the brewery’s logo (oh my).

But side note aside, FW has always been transparent with all of the beers. Ingredients, processes, you name it. We get to see that transparency with their new collaboration with a friend of theirs, Hippie Highway.

Brewed with The Road Less Traveled Brewery, Hippie Highway was crafted on the FW Propagator research and development brew system. Starting with Weyermann base malt (aka “the good stuff”) the Hazy IPA collab begins to take shape. Oats are added to provide that extra mouthfeel, and then comes the hop. Strata, Talus, Riwaka and Nelson are all used to give the beer a hoppy, candied fruit taste.

Firestone Walker has always been ahead of the curve or learning how to improve upon it. Never afraid of any style, they always add their own twist, and that’s what we get with Hippie Highway.
