This weekend is the pinnacle of all things summer. Sunshine? Check. Long weekend? Check.  As we all head out to celebrate America today and totally crush a few beers, Abjuration brewing released one of the most festive brews I’ve seen this year.

Every so often, a beer just screams awesome. Maybe it’s a taste that you love or an adjunct that is just perfect. As the temps warm and summer fully kicks in, I’m loving beers that are a little sweeter and remind me of summertime treats. Candied Sour 1.10 totally fits this bill.

If you’re a beer lover in the ‘Burgh, you know Abjuration has been experimenting and creating the sickest sours in the game. They’re creating new flavor profiles and brews that I couldn’t even imagine in a beer prior! This Candied Sour 1.10 is conditioned with all things festive for the fourth – cherry slushee, blue raspberry slushee, and lime purée. The result? Those red, white and blue popsicles we’ve all loved as a kid (and maybe as grownups too).

As of right now, all cans of this tasty brew are sold out. Did you happen to snag some? I did and I’m so excited to try it for the holiday. Still want to sample? It’s on tap at the brewery in 4 oz, 8oz, and 16oz varieties. Swing in starting next Thursday to try it out!

Cheers to a happy and safe 4th of July, Yinz guys!
