Almost any of the brewers of the world can produce an IPA like their fellow breweries. Same malts, same hops, and pretty much the same anything if they can afford it. But there is always the X-factor of the men and women putting their personal touch on each brew. One brewery that seems to have that Midas touch is the influential 3 Floyds. This summer, they are again releasing a banger with their newest Double IPA, CheerTeam.
Being released with the always dark yet cool artwork 3 Floyds is known for, CheerTeam aims for a fruity hop punch backed with just enough malt. At 7.7% ABV, the beer clocks in at 92 IBUs, meaning the balance is definitely on the bitter side. If you have had the pleasure of having a 3 Floyds beer, you know that their sweet spot is on the edge of the extreme with flavor.
The brewery guards their recipes and techniques. There is no secret to their beers other than phenomenal brewing technique and relentless recipe perfection . They are not for everyone, and honestly, they don’t really care.
