The United States celebrates its anniversary this weekend, and so is Lost Tavern Brewing. The Hellertown brewery celebrates its 5th anniversary with a few brand new releases including a fruited sour for the 4th of July, but that’s not all. GastroTruck stops by their Hellertown location with a special smash burger menu tonight. What better way to kick off July 4th weekend than with burgers and beers? Lost Tavern releases Five Years Lost today at both locations. They hopped this 7.8% DIPA with Nelson Sauvin & Galaxy, producing notes of pineapple, nectarine, and creamsicle, so it’s perfect for the Summer weather. It’ll be available in 16oz cans as well as on tap.

They release a “Years Lost” beer every year for their anniversary, but it’s not always the same style. In the past they released an Imperial Stout for the third anniversary, but this year they brewed a Double IPA inspired by Lost in Suspension, the first beer they ever canned. The Lost In Suspension DIPA uses Galaxy and Citra as opposed to the Nelson Sauvin in this one. Although they are similar in ABV.

Triple the Jams: Red, White & Blue also drops this Saturday, 7/3, in cans and on tap. They used blueberry, raspberry, strawberry & vanilla
