One of, if not THE prototypical American summer beers is Bell’s Oberon. It is the perfect cross between a refreshing wheat beer and the slightly more substantial Pale Ale. A newer iteration that should get you excited is Tropical Oberon.

Bell’s has added more to the recipe of previously released Mango Oberon. Tropical Oberon has all the great features of the original, but with Mango, Passion fruit, and Guava added. The result reminds me of a marriage between a wheat beer and a vacation cocktail. Full of flavor, but at 5.8% ABV won’t knock you out after a few.

While this Oberon is limited to 4 pks of bottles (so no cans or 5L mini kegs) it is still the perfect beer to begin the start of summer. Grab your corn hole set, buy some Bubba Burgers, and pick up a pack to reign in the hot weather.
