I love a local collab brew. When so many amazing forces get together in the Pittsburgh beer world, something amazing is going to come from it. If it involves homebrewers who absolutely kick butt at creating epic beer, I’m totally sold and then some!
This week, I’ve got a great one for you. Over at Fury Brewing, a local collab squad is releasing something awesome this weekend! From the minds of the folks at Fury, Bash Brew, Bobby Nacho, and Doortop Brewing comes Bash at the Beach! Here’s what the Four Horsemen of craft beer have cooked up for us this time:
A hazy session IPA, this beer weighs in at 5.8% and is great for a summertime weekend. A tropical bomb of an IPA, it’s hopped with Bru-1, Sabro, Idaho Gem, and Idaho 7 hops. Fermented with tropical yeast, this brew is heavy on pineapple, mango and grapefruit taste. Expect a nice backing of pine and light passion fruit flavor to make this an IPA to remember.
One of my favorite things about this collab is it’s truly a meeting of the Pittsburgh beer minds. Covering both the home brew scene and including folks from two local breweries as well, I love that this beer is a celebration of all things yinzer and craft! Want to meet the crew themselves? They’re at Fury this Saturday after 5pm.
There’s lots of options on how to enjoy this beer. Grab a pint of it at Fury starting today, or a four pack, or a growler to fill to take home. I’m really sad I missed out on their first collab beer (a brown ale that was sold at Couch Brewing), so I’ll definitely be getting my hands on this to try!
