Summertime brings big changes to lots of things in Pittsburgh. Whether it’s drinking outside, a summertime beer that just takes the cake, or a special event, the Pittsburgh craft beer scene has got you. Recently, there’s been some big things going on at Acclamation Brewing that are a perfect celebration of all things summer!
Firstly, they’ve expanded their hours. Starting tonight, Acclamation is going to be open later on Sundays for Service Industry Night! Whether or not you’re slinging pints or brewing beer for your main job, this Sunday night party applies to all. From 7-10pm each Sunday, you can grab 1 dollar off pints and actually enjoy the end of your week. How perfect, right?
Acclamation also had a big can release week this week as well. First off, there’s Uncharted Isle, a light, 4.8% oatmeal stout that’s a perfect summer dark brew. This is a lovely, roasty stout with vanilla and coconut notes. Uncharted Isle has a seriously impressive amount of flavor and mouthfeel for a lower ABV stout – you need to check this one out!
Then, there’s a New England IPA for all of you hop nerds out there. Graffiti Puzzle is a 6.1% brew hopped with Southern Passion and Meridian hops. Expect a super soft mouthfeel with a tropical aroma. Expect a gummy bear/ sweet tart flavor that will make this brew taste like candy in all of the right ways! Grab these brews on draft or in 4-packs to take home!
Amazing news, right? I’ve also been given some advance notice on great things to come in the month of July. Soon, Acclamation will be celebrating their first year! For the anniversary, they’ve got a favorite style of mine coming out, a triple IPA. In an exclusive, expect Beer by the Fire, a 10% (oooh, mama) triple to hit the taps around July 1st. Loaded with Citra extract and double dry hopped with Citra, this is a big boy you don’t want to miss. I know I’ll definitely be there for grab a pint!
I’m really excited for what Acclamation has to come in these summer months. Happy 1st anniversary and here’s to many more to come, Acclamation!
