This weekend, I had the pleasure of a exploring a new-to-me brewery. Yellow Bridge Brewing, located in Delmont, PA, is a hidden gem of a location with amazing brews to boot! Here’s what I enjoyed during my first trip out to the location:
Located right off William Penn Highway in Delmont, Yellow Bridge boasts easy access if you’re on the way home from a great day of hiking or biking riding in the Laurel Highlands. With hours from Wednesday-Sunday each week, this is an excellent place to grab a drink on your travels.
Then, there’s the beer! If you love beers that fall in the IPA realm, hit this place ASAP. We grabbed two IPAs and pales that hit things out of the park for me. Firstly, the Horatio IPA. This is a 6% brew that is packed with Mosaic, Motueka and Amarillo hops. This beer has a great smooth and creamy mouthfeel that makes it super crushable in this warm weather . It’s a gem and perfect for the summer days to come!
And then, I grabbed my favorite brew of the day. Little Dude, a 5.4% American pale ale, was absolutely everything I wanted. Pouring with a light straw color and heavy haze, this is a great summertime brew. With an aroma of blueberries, stone fruit and grapefruit, this beer drinks with a smooth bitterness and an epic juicy finish. This brew is seriously just right in my opinion- perfect no matter the occasion. Available on draft and in 4 packs, make this little buddy a part of your beer collection ASAP!
Yellow Bridge is boasting some great specials and events right now as well. Hockey fan? The past 2 games they’ve offered 1 dollar off pints during the Pens games with specials available from Lilja’s Premiere Pizza (free delivery to the taproom, how perfect!). With lots of to-go options available as well, such as the Green Flash Pale Ale and Your Hoppy Place IPA, you can’t go wrong with any of these amazing options!
Needless to say, this first visit to Yellow Bridge was a total home run for me! With lots of space inside and out and killers beers to beat, I’ll definitely be back soon. Have you been to Yellow Bridge? Do you have a favorite beer from this brewery? Let me know in the comments below!
