Expansions are always lovely news. Another place to grab a great beer and enjoy what our awesome craft beer scene has to offer! This week, Butler Brew Works has opened their second location for business!

Located over in Oakmont on Maryland Avenue, this brings their delicious brews to a whole new area of the ‘Burgh. Starting this week, they are open from 11am-8pm daily. This new location serves as a local bottle shop for Butler Brew Works’s beer, meaning it’s not a taproom and it will be to-go only. And the selection is absolutely amazing!

With the temps getting hotter and the sunshine actually occurring for once, I’ve loving fruity or hazy brews right now. A sucker for anything grape flavored, Nebulas in Bloom sounds perfect. Loaded with Concord grape taste and smell, this is alcoholic grape juice in the best way possible (looking at you, wine – get better tasting). 7% is ABV, this sour packs a punch in taste and ABV. Yum!

A single hop IPA is another style that is easy to drink and kick back with on a chill Friday night. Hop Marsh is Butler Brew Works’s single hop series, and there’s a Chinook version available right now in cans to go. A great mixture of pineapple and pine, this 6.5% New England IPA is a perfect porch beer.

And that’s not all. They’ve got a ton of great brews available, regardless of style preferences. Even though it’s ninety outside, I’m tempted to turn up my AC and try La Noche Triste (5.5%), a milk stout with coffee. Sweetened with lactose, this is the sweet treat that would be a perfect summertime nightcap after the day is done.

Check out Butler Brew Works’s site for what’s available. The new bottle shop also features sweet merch and beer-themed snacks to enjoy! Although they’re open for business now, stay tuned on their social media for a formal grand opening soon!
