Life’s all about balance, right? I’m not the only one here who loves to balance fitness and beer, especially on the weekends. With summertime just around the bend, it’s a great time to get outside and enjoy the weather! Want to get moving and get rewarded with a cold beer at the end? Leaning Cask Brewing has you covered.
Sunday Run Day is an event that started in the pre-COVID era and is accessible to all regardless of running abilities. The concept for the event is simple, show up to the brewery at 11am on May 30th in the back lot, check in, and run! There are two options for your route – you can knock out a 5k or keep it nice and easy for a 1 mile jaunt. You can run, walk, bike, or move however you want for the course. You need not be an expert 5k runner to participate.
And I haven’t even gotten to the best part – the pint afterwards. Sign up and complete the route to receive a free pint on Leaning Cask for your efforts. The price? FREE! What a great way to combine fitness and craft beer – my two favorite things. Register here to guarantee a spot for this fun afternoon!
Leaning Cask also has some amazing beers for the early summer vibes Pittsburgh has going on right now. This week, Cheeky Doodle Rose, a 6.5% cider ale, hit the taps and cans and it sounds divine. Loaded with pear, hibiscus and berry flavors, this is a summertime ale you do not want to miss! I’m a huge fan of the cheeky doodle series and will need to try this one!
This is an event that just started up again at Leaning Cask and will hopefully continue throughout the summer. If they continue to go well, look for more Sunday Run Day events! Great things are coming to Leaning Cask next month as well including their outdoor beer garden opening and an anniversary celebration. Stay tuned for more summertime fun and raise a glass to fitness and beer!
