I love a beer that is for a good cause. The best part of the craft beer industry is how breweries often reach out and support causes that are important. This week, Whitehorse Brewing has released an excellent brew for an even better cause!

This past weekend, Whitehorse released a beer that is perfect for this season! Balding Berry Strawberry Wheat hit the taps this weekend. This 6% beer was brewed in collaboration with five brewers to benefit a head shaving event for Saint Baldrick’s foundation for Childhood Leukemia and Lymphoma. This foundation exists to support those dealing with childhood cancer by supporting and funding research to cure this disease. Portions of the profits from this beer will be donated to this good cause!

Balding Berry is a fruity treat that is light and perfect for summer months. Expect a nice, easy wheat brew loaded with strawberry flavor. Available on tap at both locations in Washington and Berlin, sang a taste of this awesome strawberry beer! You can also grab bottles of it to go to enjoy back at home. Grabbing a brew and having it benefit childhood cancer research? Sold.

With the Washington location being open Tuesday-Sundays and the Berlin location open on weekends, swing by Whitehorse to try out this brew ASAP. Curious about what else is on tap? “Let the Mules Race”, a Moscow Mule Pale Ale sounds downright phenomenal. An old school pale ale loaded with lime, ginger and mint flavor, this is creative brew that packs a punch!

I also need to try the Breakfast Time Porter. This 5.7% dark brew is smoky, rich, and has notes of smoked bacon. YUM. With local maple syrup in the brew, this is breakfast and a bottle and I need it in my life as soon as possible.

I’m so excited about this release from Whitehorse. Head to either of their locations this week and grab a good beer for a good cause! Cheers to helping cancer research!
