As we’re all deeply enjoying the fact that we can have pints in public again, I’ve got a confession to make: I still and will forever love a good can run. Yes, sitting down at a brewery is best, but I love enjoying a midweek or late night brew at home that’s local and delicious. This week, I’ve got a new brewery that’s canning!
Allusion Brewing has joined the canning party! This weekend, they debuted their first canned to-go option, SMASH for Stache. IPA fans, here’s one for you! There’s some single-hop goodness up in here! Brewed exclusively with English Maris Otter Floor Malted Malt, this Mosaic IPA has nutty and biscuity notes that make it really unique. With classic IPA flavors of tropical fruit, citrus and pine, this is a 6.2% tasty treat.
The best part of all of this? This brew is created for a good cause! Allusion collaborated with Stache Strong, a non-profit organization that is devoted to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research. Throughout May, this beer will be served and portions of the proceeds of sales will be donated to Stache Strong. There are also super cute glasses available for purchase to celebrate this new brew!
A four pack of this brew will run you 20 bucks. Looking at the current draft list, the baseball nerd in me loves One Inning More, a 5% Pale Ale made with Pale and Victory malts. Hopped with Williamette and Cascade hops, this is an earthy, floral beer that sounds perfect for the 7th inning stretch and beyond!
Head over to Allusion this week to sample this new brew. I can’t wait to try it! Located in Vandergrift, PA (around 50 minutes or so east of the city), come support a good cause and drink a great beer!
