Collabs are just the best. When two breweries combine, it’s like two superheroes combining their powers to fight the bad guy (in this case, the villain is totally bad beer). The moral of the story is, something great’s gonna occur.

This week? I’m really intrigued by the new collaboration between Union Brothers and Allegheny City Brewing. Double IPAs are a favorite style of mine. I love the higher ABV and bigger flavors (both from hops and adjuncts).  These two breweries had blessed us with Epiphyte DIPA (8%) and it’s available for the taking!

Loaded with Nectaron, Idaho 7, and Citra hops, this is a big, tasty brew. Chock full of citrus, passionfruit, tropical fruit and sticky resin notes, this is a must if you love DIPAs as much as I do. It’s smooth, hoppy and the perfect amount of hazy.

So, where can you get your hands on this treat?  Currently, you can grab a four pack to go of this brew at Allegheny City on the North Side (and they’re open Mondays too!). Live closer to Union Brothers in Harmony, PA? They’ve got you covered up there as well. Get your hands on this one, guys, it sounds delectable.

Why not make it a hop heavy IPA day when you pick up your brews. If you’re grabbing it at Allegheny City, you can’t go wrong with Oceanic IPA. A beloved favorite, this IPA is hazy, juicy, crisp and bright – perfect for this amazing, warm weather! Headed to Union Brothers? Check out Union Break. A 7% New England IPA, it’s the perfect balance of juicy and bitter.

Cheers to an amazing Collab, Union Brothers and Allegheny City!
