The beginning of the warmer months brings many decisions for the recreational beer drinker. Oftentimes, it is deciding between the fruity dankness of an IPA or something lighter (but not ‘lite’) and crisp. Barbarian Brewing (Boise, Idaho) has you covered, as they are releasing different beers that fit both bills.
Idaho Stratasphere is what you would want in a Double West Coast IPA. Idaho 7 hops and Strata hops give the beer the piney, resiny goodness we all think of with the West Coast IPA. At 8.5% ABV, it is definitely a punch in the face with flavor. You may not be able to (safely) drink many of these, but there is enough flavor packed in that you will still enjoy yourself.
Country Time Lemonade + Peaches. What is bad about that? Peach Lemonade does not beat around the bush. It tells you straightforward what it is. Kettle-soured to accentuate that lemonade-like pucker, this beer is designed to be refreshing and let you drink more than a few (responsibly).
