When breweries collaborate, amazing things happen. Some of the best brews I’ve had have been collabs because they celebrate the best of all involved groups. This past week, a guidebook for the ages has hit the market, my friends! The Pittsburgh Brewers Guild has released their second edition of the Pittsburgh Brewery Guide!
The guide is back and bigger and better than ever! Thirty eight local breweries are represented and involved in the guide. My favorite part of this edition is the breweries are organized by location, so it makes it super easy to create your own brewery crawl and gather as many stamps as possible! The guild has made it even easier by providing seven pre-made trails you can follow. There are a limited number available, so snag one ASAP and join the fun!
The premise is simple. Pick a brewery, go to it, enjoy a few tasty brews (because let’s be real, who only tries just one?), and get your stamp. The stamps, of course, add up to some great prizes! Collect ten stamps, and earn the title of Pittsburgh Tourist. For your efforts, you’ll receive a koozie.
Want to up the ante a little bit? Hit 20 breweries and earn an exclusive Pittsburgh Brewers Guild Glass. For earning 10 or 20 stamps, you can snag your prize at Dancing Gnome, Grist House, Eleventh Hour, or Inner Groove. How easy is that?
Want to really earn your Pittsburgh beer stripes? Visit 30 breweries and earn a one-of-a-kind insulated howler. It’s super cool looking and is the ultimate prize for a champion Pittsburgh beer drinker.
You can grab any of these guides at any participating brewery in the Pittsburgh Brewers Guild. They retail for 10 dollars. Note that these epic prizes apply only to the second edition guide, so if you’re still holding on to edition one, the prizes are different.
Only 2,500 of these guides have been printed and are available. If you love beer swag and supporting local, this is a no-brainer. Hit up your favorite local brewery today and grab one of these awesome guides!
