Recon Brewing Opens Second Location!

The beer community has done a great job of sticking together and working together throughout a crazy year. I’ve been proud to be a part of it, and always proud to celebrate something awesome when it occurs. This week, I’ve got some excellent news regarding Recon Brewing opening their new location!

Recon has been killing it in the Butler county craft beer scene. With the original brewery not far from the Pittsburgh in Butler, PA, they’ve got some amazing beer on tap! Now, just this week, they’ve brought their beers closer to the ‘Burgh with the opening of their new location: Recon at Meeder.

Located in Cranberry Township, not far off of Route 19, the new location opened its doors just the week to the public. With 12 beers on tap and two guest taps for those who would like a cider or mead, there’s lots to choose from! Personally, I would love to try the following:

Violet, You’re Turning Violet!: (Fruit beer, 5.4%). This blueberry ale sounds perfect for the warmer days to come! Brewed as a Blonde Ale and fermented on 240 pounds of blueberries, this is a perfectly drinkable, refreshing beer I’d love after a day spent outside!

Juice Head Baby: (New England IPA, 6%). Is there a more perfect name for a hazy IPA? I love it! A juicy, double dry-hopped New England IPA with Amarillo, Citra, and Mandarina Bavaria Hops, this is an absolute haze bomb. Expects loads of citrus and orange notes.

And then there’s the food. Created to enjoy with others, there’s lots of classic brewery fare like cheese curds, and loaded nachos! With sandwiches and flatbreads galore, come hungry and thirsty. Open from Tuesdays-Sundays each week, visit Recon at Meeder soon and celebrate this new expansion! Cheers!
