Any brewery that says they aim to make a beer like Three Floyds, Surly, and Half Acre better be able to back it up. Yet Hop Butcher for the World takes on the task with their Double IPA, Your Wish Is Granted.
When the beer was first brewed back in 2016, the hot hops were Nelson Sauvin and Citra. Not to say they are not still, they are just slightly easier to get a hold of now. Citra provides an intensely fruity aroma and taste, while Nelson has an almost white wine grape flavor.
This fruit-forward DIPA is going to deliver that flavor with every sip. At 7.5% ABV, these may be crushable but be careful since they may sneak up on you.
And if none of this sells you on Your Wish Is Granted, then go grab a copy of Tom Hanks’ “Big” from your local Blockbuster (re: Bend, Oregon). Take a sip every time that piano scene is the greatest thing ever invented. If you know, you know.
