Somehow ten years have gone by since HBO’s “Game of Thrones” series came into our lives. To celebrate the Iron Anniversary of the show, HBO is teaming up with Mikkeller Beer for the first of a series of GoT related beers

The first beer to see release, Iron Anniversary IPA, is a New England IPA-inspired beer. It will feature a custom label design from the brewery’s art director, Keith Shore. Perhaps unlike the previous GoT beers (brewed by a different brewery), Mikkeller looks to combine the epicness of the show with the more “lighthearted and colorful expression” of the brewery.

Two more planned beers are underway in 2021 and more in the future. Mikkeller looks to draw major inspiration from the places and people of GoT lore to produce unique beers. A range of styles from spontaneously fermented ales to non-alcoholic beers are on the table for potential brewing.

Available in a few countries including the US, some of these beers will be available on a wider scale. Beers with harder-to procure ingredients may see a more limited release. The brewery will also make merchandise available on their website.
