“Beam me up, Scotty!”

The inner physics nerd has emerged over at Equilibrium Brewing. Their new release, Sparticle Beam, is an amped-up version of one of their favorite pale ales, Sparticle Physics.

Scaling up a beer can yield interesting results, as we can see. Using doses of wheat and oats in the beer body, the brewers turned up the hopping level to 11. Massive quantities of Citra and Strata hops are added to the dry hop and whirlpool to impart their pungent flavors and aromas.

The beer becomes a tropical fruit bomb, as well as a tasting of peach, stone fruit, and “the devil’s lettuce”**. 8.5% ABV gives you a balance for all those hops so it is not one-dimensional.

With delivery to New York, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Ohio, Nevada, New Hampshire, Vermont, North Dakota, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Virginia, you may be able to see this beer near you!
