Rotunda Brewing, which recently introduced statewide beer shipping, is holding its first-ever barrel-aged bottle release next week. Not only are they releasing their first barrel-aged bottle, but they’re releasing four of them! Rotunda is releasing two imperials stouts and two barleywines.
The first imperial stout, Sunrise Surprise, took first-place in stouts at the 2019 Farm Show. They aged the barleywine in two separate barrels, resulting in two variants. Information on each of the bottles is below:
- Sunrise Surprise – Imperial Brunch Stout Brewed with Coffee Cakes & aged one year in a Willet Bourbon Barrel (14%)
- The Dark Reaper – Russian Imperial Stout, aged one year in a Bourbon Willet Barrel (11%)
- Means To My End – American Barleywine, aged one year in a Hidden Still Bourbon Barrel (17.4%)
- Means To My End – American Barleywine, aged one year in a Hidden Still Rye Barrel (17.4%)
Rotunda Brewing’s first barrel-aged bottle release will happen on Saturday, March 13th, so stock up for your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. They will have fewer than 250 bottles of each flavor, and all four bottles will only be available for pickup at the Annville location. These beers will not be available for delivery or online shipping.
