Whitehorse Brewing at the Street Celebrates 3 Years!

Currently Drinking:

This weekend, Whitehorse Brewing at the Street is celebrating three years of operation at its taproom in Washington, PA. Located just a stone’s throw away from Meadows Casino and the Tanger Outlets, this small taproom stands out by serving up unique, flavorful beers. Not focused heavily on the “hype” beers, this a great place to stop in to try a thoughtfully crafted kolsch, cream ale, or one of many other classic styles. I love breweries like these, because there is something every beer drinker can enjoy.

After brewing their first beer in 2013, Whitehorse opened its Berlin, PA taproom in 2016. A few years later, this small, family-owned brewery got a little bit bigger when it opened its Washington taproom in 2018. Hence, this year marks their 3rd anniversary!

Events are scheduled all weekend long, starting with trivia on Thursday, March 4th. There will be live music on Friday (One Ray) 7-10pm and Saturday (Devon Johnson) 4-7pm. They also have a line-up of food trucks for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Primanti’s is right next door, as well. If that’s not enough to get you to join the party, there will be beer and merch giveaways all weekend long. That’s right Fueled Fam, even if you’re “just here for the giveaways,” this event has something for you too.

If you haven’t had a chance to travel south of the ‘Burgh to check out Whitehorse on the Street, this is the perfect opportunity. Come enjoy the celebratory atmosphere and try their Anniversary release, Grove Road Blood Orange Pilsner: a 5% ABV citrusy lager conditioned on blood orange puree, or maybe their collaboration brew with Sarris Candies, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Stout: a 6% ABV stout brewed with Sarris cocoa and strawberry puree. If neither of those peak your interest, check out their tap list, because there’s something for everyone!

If there was ever a year to celebrate a brewery’s anniversary, 2021 is it. Cheers, Whitehorse!
