Monday, some of us love it, some of us dread it like no other. It’s a new start to the week and arguably, the longest day of the week as well. And what could make the start of the week better than a beer? There’s few Burgh breweries that are open on this day, so draft pints can often be hard to come by.

However, starting this week (3/1), Allegheny City Brewing is open on Mondays for a pint! Located on the North side, this is one of my favorite places to go in Pittsburgh for a beer. I love the location and they produce many styles of beer, so you can find something no matter what you prefer!

So, here’s the scoop. Starting this week, Allegheny City will be open Monday, Wednesday-Thursday from 4-9pm so you can get your work week beer on. Friday and Saturday you can visit until 11pm, and you can enjoy a #Sundayfunday as well with Allegheny City being open from 12-7pm on Sundays. Not down with going out for a pint quite yet? Their online store is open for pickups as well. I guess what I’m saying is there’s no excuse to not grab a brew from Allegheny City! How awesome.

And with the changing of the seasons comes a deeper love and appreciation of all things crispy. As the temperatures hopefully warm up in March, Allegheny City is meeting all of your crispy brew needs right now! The most recent release? Lite Brite Heiles Lager, a 5.7% beer made with weyermann eracela pils and Munich malt. Expect some lovely hoppy notes in this lager!

Not into lagers? The Singletrack series is a perennial favorite for me. I love anything single-hop as it allows me to get to know all of the lovely hops that exist in the beer world. I’m working on figuring out my favorite still! Right now, you can snag a picked pack of the Singletrack Mosaic and Singletrack Riwaka to see which hop you prefer!

Heading down to Allegheny City this Monday? You can order takeout from one of the many amazing North Side restaurants or even bring your own food from home. Cheers to a new week!
