One of my favorite things about the Pittsburgh Beer community is that it is so excellent at caring for those in need throughout our city and the world. Whether it’s raising funds at the local or global perspective, expect us Yinzers to give back and to enjoy a good brew to boot!
Helltown Brewing has released a new beer upon us this week that demands attention. Hellping Hops, a juicy 6.5% New England IPA. This brew is a hazeboi with that dank taste and an easy crushability that will definitely have you wanting a second round. Hopped with Amarillo, Citra, Cascade and Mandarina Bavaria hops create this brew. Soft bodied, but crisp, notes of peach and citrus aromas lead to orange and lemon flavors that make this beer super refreshing.
This beer was created as a collaboration with Helping Hops, an Ohio-based non-profit. Helping Hops facilitates and maximizes fundraising for local charitable causes throughout the craft beer community. The endgame of this brew is to help locally fight food insecurity in Washington County and Westmoreland County. Proceeds will go towards supporting the Washington County and Westmoreland County food banks to make sure less are going hungry. Limited amounts of this brew are available, so grab some while you can!
Helltown has multiple locations throughout Pittsburgh to satisfy your beer needs. Snag this and any of their other brews at their taprooms in the Strip District (1700 Penn), Export, Houston, and Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. This beer is available in four packs, cases, and growlers to go! You can also support a good cause on premises and grab a draft there. Cheers to helping others!
