I miss beerfests, friends. It’s been way too since I grabbed a brew in a public place and hung out in person with friends in the brewing industry. Virtual Beerfests have been a saving point in a year without that beer networking that we’ve all been missing so.
This week, First Sip Brew Box announced their partnering with HEARTH, a local charity, for the 10th annual Hops for Hearth event. This is a virtual beer fest on March 26th that includes some amazing stuff! Tickets for the event are $55 and include the following: a 4 pack of beer, entry into the door prize raffle, access to a virtual beer tasting, a custom PGH brewery passport (umm, yes) and a mini First Sip Brew Box filled with snacks to enjoy during the event! Want more? VIP boxes are $75 and include 6 beers and access to an early reception to virtually hang out at!
The best part about all of this? You are helping out a seriously awesome charity in Pittsburgh. Proceeds from the event will contribute to helping homeless women and children as HEARTH is the only facility-based transitional housing program for women in Allegheny County. Doing good and drinking great beer? Sounds like a great night!
First Sip will also be emceeing the night! Dennis Guy will be taking the mic and guiding us through all of the stages of the event. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Dennis, trust me when I say you’re in for a treat! He is one of the kindest, funniest, and exuberant people I’ve ever met. Expect laughs and excellent stories.
Dennis and Sammie Guy continue to come up with amazing things at First Sip Brew Box. I’m so impressed by their content they have and products they’re putting out into the beer world! These mini boxes sound tasty, and I will definitely be needing to get my hands on one ASAP. They also continue to put out the coolest hop-themed tshirts each month – I love this month’s “Craft Change” shirt that highlights diversity in brewing.
Mark your calendars for March 26th to celebrate this event and aid many in need in Allegheny County. Thanks to First Sip and HEARTH for this excellent virtual event!
