I’m back with a Valentine’s Day edition of the 5 beers you NEED to grab this weekend if you’re following Fueled By Hops.

Have some suggestions for me to feature next week? Shoot those ideas over to [email protected] or catch me in our Facebook group (where I’m known to hang out).

So here you go… give these beers a try and let me know you think!

Something T’art – Peaches & Cream

Yellow Bridge Brewing – Delmont, PA

Style: Sour Ale, 5.25% ABV

Why you need it?

If you’ve been following our social media, as well as this blog, you know that this beer is the special collaboration we did with Marino’s American Eatery and Yellow Bridge Brewing in Delmont, PA.

Let’s talk about the beer first. This beer is another iteration of their Something T’art sour series. The Peaches and Cream variation is full of hits of peaches, vanilla and marshmallow and it’s absolutely spectacular.

If you pay attention to the label of this can, you’ll notice that it coincides with our new Marino’s collab glass. On the glass, Josh (from Marino’s) and I are on our way to deliver a pizza to Ian at Yellow Bridge. On the label, you see our destination, Yellow Bridge Brewing, and Ian cheers’ing us a beer while standing at the base of a peach mountain.

It’ll be definitely be a nice addition to your glass collection. All artwork was done by local artist, Ross Beagle.

Support a local brewery, a local business (FBH), a local restaurant, AND a local artist! Grab this glass and these cans today!

Four Points Brewing is becoming a regular on these weekly lists because they just putting out one great beer after another.

This week’s release is just in time for Valentine’s Day and it’s the absolute perfect drop. No One Loves Me And Neither Do I is a 8.0% heavily fruited sour that the brewery describes as, “Brewed with Milk Sugar and conditioned on over 100 pounds per barrel of Raspberry, Strawberry, Sweet Cherry and Black Currant Purée, this is the most fruit we’ve ever packed into a beer.”

Let’s also take note of the name. It’s perfect.

We’ve been talking about Orange County, CA-based The Bruery a lot recently. And the reason for that is the fact that they keep putting out some of the best beers in the country AND they’re now able to be shipped directly to consumers in Pennyslvania!

Love Bites, is a bourbon-barrel aged imperial stout made with strawberries and cocoa nibs. Expect those two flavors heavy on the nose and taste.

WASH UFFIZI DRIVE ME TO FIRENZE

Insurrection Ale Works – Pittsburgh, PA

Style: Italian-style pilsner

Why you need it?

This list wouldn’t be complete without a Crispy. So, when I saw that Insurrection Ale Works (with locations in Heidelberg, PA and the Strip District) was dropping one, I had to add it.

I have to admit, I have no idea how to pronounce the name of this beer, but I hear it’s a reference to a Phish song.. An “Italian-style Pilsner brewed w/ all Pilsner Malt, Hopped & Dry Hopped w/ Hallertau Magnum & Hallertau Blanc and fremnented w/ German Pils Yeast”, as the brewery descirbes it…. sign me up.

This one is available on tap at the Strip District location, and in cans at both locations.
