It’s the time of year to stock up on all things beer. Regardless of whether it’s the big game or a normal Saturday, I love a good beer on tap. With many breweries doing to-go only right now, that can sometimes be hard to find. What can one do in the situation?

Lucky for us Yinzers, Allegheny City Brewing has unleashed their Party Ball on us all. What is it? Basically, it’s a mini keg that’s 10 liters of fresh beer. That’s around 21 pints of awesomeness. Suitable for a kegerator or standard keg tap so you can hook it up on your device at home and enjoy a brew! No keg tap, no worries. You can also purchase a tap from Allegheny City to enjoy your beer. If you have a tap line, expect the beer to last for a month. If you’re doing the pump tap, try to consume your brews within 2 days to ensure optimum freshness. This sounds perfect for a gathering with your quarantine bubble!

Prices for the party balls depend on which beer you want, and Allegheny City has a ton of options for filling currently. Whether you like IPAs, stouts, or anything in between, there’s something on tap that will be just for you!

There’s a couple available here that have caught my eye. First, you can get an imperial stout in a party ball! Oh man, yes please! First Street Imperial Stout is a rich and malty imperial perfect for these frigid days.  This 10%er will warm you up quickly with a lovely roasty taste! Ol’ One Flip Cream Ale sounds like the perfect brew that I’d love to crush this evening during the Super Bowl. A crisp, fresh cream ale at 4.9%, this slightly sweet and chuggable brew goes down easy. Currently, you can also grab Simcoe City Session Hazy IPA, Deutschtown Brown, and Clowns of the Mountains (a fruited sour) in a party ball. Check out their web store for available offerings!

Allegheny City is excited to bring this type of to-go beer back! Grab one of these party balls for your next (socially distanced, of course) gathering or to attach to your kegerator ASAP!
