Female Owned Wallenpaupack Brewing Co Brews With ‘Lake Affection’

Currently Drinking:

If you’re thinking of last-minute get-away plans for Valentine’s Day weekend, perhaps I could interest you in taking a trip the the Pocono Mountains? Nothing says Romance quite like a heart-shaped bathtub in a retro motel, and a visit to a female owned craft brewery!

Nestled in the small town of Hawley, PA, the northernmost end of Lake Wallenpaupack, rests female owned and award winning Wallenpaupack Brewing Co.

Rebecca Ryman founded the brewery in 2017, with a commitment to sourcing local ingredients when possible and serving up high quality foods made in house!

They also support many local causes through various donation programs, such as their Pints for a Purpose Program. “Giving back is part of our DNA!”

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, comes Eros Fruited DIPA. This 8.1% abv DIPA is double dry hopped and brewed with copious amounts of oats and Azacca hops, and is conditioned on blackberry, tangerine and Madagascar vanilla bean! Expect a fruity ale with slight tartness and smooth vanilla finish. Oh, did I mention that the can glows in the dark?

Hydroelectric looks pretty killer too. A delightfully hazy IPA with a pungent fruity aroma. Hopped with Azacca, Citra, Simcoe and Columbus hops. Expect a soft mouthfeel and a crisp finish.

On Valentine’s Day, the brewery is offering two separate dining events. Brunch kicks off at 11am and features some lovely food choices like Beer Infused Pancakes (uh, YUM!) and a Blueberry Jam Burger, plus many others.

All weekend long, they are offering a Beer Dinner for 2, which includes a 3-course meal, 4 cans of beer to pair with the food and a Valentine’s Day Gift bag! Sounds like a match made in craft beer foodie heaven! Check out their Instagram for more information.

Drop us a line if you’ve got plans to hit Wallenpaupack Brewing up this weekend! And if you do plan on checking it out, might we suggest calling ahead for a reservation to ensure you get a spot!
