As the restaurant and brewing industries reopen and ready for the newest version of normal, many of us are figuring out what to do next. Whether we’re down for dining in breweries or just feel safe picking up our favorite take-out, the Pittsburgh Brewing scene has you.

Hop Farm Brewing is a favorite spot of mine in the ‘Burgh. It’s got the small, hole in the wall vibes I love, and also happens to turn out some phenomenal beer. Since the pandemic has reared its crazy head on us all, I keep seeing more and more amazing canned options being cranked out! Here’s what I need in my life right now:

Tmave Pivo (4.8%) – this Czech Dark Lager sounds like the perfect beer to crush this Winter. With notes of toasted dark bread and mixed dark fruit jam, this brew also has cocoa notes and a medium mouthfeel. Sounds great for a weekend lunch on a snowy Saturday!

Janet’s Brown (7.5%) – I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – brown ales need more love!! This imperial brown ale is hoppy and loaded with coco notes, orange, and pine. This brew promises to be amazingly unique and portions of the proceeds go to the Mario Lemieux foundation.

IPA nerds? There’s Recalibration, a New England IPA perfect for you hazebois. Love West Coast?  Check out Astro Hop (7.5%) – overloaded with Columbus and Amarillo goodness. Like Session IPAs? Small Crop is a personal favorite of mine. An easy drinker at 4.2%, this little beer is just as good as any of those large ABV big IPAs without hitting too hard.

My favorite part about Hop Farm? They’re open Mondays! Start your week with a bang with these awesome choices. Need dinner? They’re got Provision Pgh on site for some absolutely amazing grub. Make a trip out to Hop Farm ASAP!
