The holidays are over, and people are trying to forget about the dumpster fire that was 2020. Some people are sticking with their old New Year’s resolutions of being healthy and losing weight, but the craft beer community isn’t focusing on that. We need to support small businesses now more than ever, so some people are using “Double Dry Hopped January” as an opportunity to support local breweries during the pandemic.

It’s so popular in the craft beer community, there are memes about it. So, instead of supporting macro breweries that just released non-alcoholic beers, stop by one of these Philly breweries for some juicy beers.

Second Sin Brewing is offering a few different DDH beers. They have some 4-packs of I Survived 2020, a DDH NEIPA with Hallertau Blanc, Amarillo, and Mosaic. They’re serving this beer on tap as well as Denim Vest, a DDH NEIPA brewed with Citra, Citra Cryo, Amarillo, Amarillo Cryo, and Ekuanot.

Tired Hands Brewing releases double dry-hopped versions of house IPAs every few weeks. These include DDH Alien Church, DDH Eviscerated Pathway of Beauty, and their Little Log Cabin “sister” beers. Follow their social media for details on the next release.

Warwick Farm Brewing is releasing Double Dry Hopped Galaxy Sensation this week. They previously released their Sensation IPAs with various hops, but this is the second DDH beer in the series. The first was DDH Citra Sensation that currently has a whopping 4.41 on Untappd. Warwick Farm packed the pungent tropical aroma of Galaxy hops into their latest juice bomb, DDH Galaxy Sensation. They’re also releasing a dry-hopped Saison this week called Escape Plan. These beers and more will be available on their website Wednesday, January 6th, at 5 PM for pickup this weekend.
