Other Half (New York, New York) looked southbound when reaching out to Parish Brewing (Broussard, Louisiana) to brew a new collaboration. Mixing the brewing techniques of both breweries, and incorporating Parish’s regional flavors, the final result is a big 14.5% ABV Stout, BA Gravity Gumbo.
Paying homage to their collaborator’s hometown, BA Gravity Gumbo is a concoction of with a kitchen cabinet’s worth of flavors. Coffee, Chicory, Pecans, Pralines, and Vanilla stew together in this Imperial Stout to bring the flavors of the bayou to the beer-drinking masses. Pair that with the notes the beer picks up from the Bourbon Barrels, and this becomes a true beer representation of the flavours of Louisiana.
