I’m so glad that seasonal beers are hitting the market here in Pittsburgh at full force. With everything currently so uncertain in the world, it’s such a pleasant treat to kick back with a seasonally-appropriate local brew at the end of the day. A much needed tiny sense of normalcy. There are so many amazing choices out there, it can be hard to pick just one!

What’s at the top of my list? Inner Groove Brewing’s Christmas releases. Guys, they are covering EVERYTHING you need for seasonal beers. Here’s what’s available:

Gingerbell Rock (5.8%)  – Brown Ale. This is a yearly collaboration beer with the iconic Oakmont Bakery. A holiday staple at Inner Groove, this is the perfect festive pint that tastes like a gingerbread cookie in a glass. YUM. Loaded with ginger and plenty of spice, I need this beer in my life. You can grab a four pack of this beer to enjoy as you decorate the tree!

Crooked Hoss – Milk Stout. This 6.8% brew is perfect for getting into the holiday spirit! Lactose and plum puree create a wonderful sugar plum taste. This stout has some lovely roasty notes with hints of raisin, dark chocolate and brown sugar. With the plum taste, there’s a perfect hint of sweetness to balance out the bitterness.

Dinkey Tinker – Spiced Golden Ale. At 5.3%, this festive brew is a lighter option to enjoy. Featuring a very mild hop profile, this ale is a smooth, easy drinker. Loaded with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and orange peel, this brew is Christmas in a glass! Well balanced with a hint of sweet, expect the unexpected in this one. This brew is available in crowlers – the perfect addition to your holiday meals!

The best part? There’s one more beer to come! Make sure you’re following Inner Groove’s social media to see what will be released next. With the current indoor dining restriction, Inner Groove is open for takeout only from Wednesday-Sunday of each week.
