Opening a brewery in the current craft beer climate is hard. Opening during a global pandemic is even harder. Second Sin Brewing in Bristol, PA did just that despite all the challenges. They’re releasing two huge beers in honor of their anniversary. These include a hoppy red ale and a huge New England Triple IPA for the hazy crowd. Full descriptions of each beer are below.
Second Sn brewed Every Man Creates His Own God solely with Pilsner malts. They did a better job describing this one, so I’m going to leave it to the professionals: “The color comes from the use of dark Belgian candi syrup, which ferments out dry and leaves some flavor, while not clashing with the hops as in some red ales. It is judiciously hopped with Simcoe, Citra, and Columbus.”
Triple Screen Playa is their first attempt at a New England Triple IPA. They hopped T.S.P. with Galaxy, Citra, Citra Cryo, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe, and Simcoe Cryo at a rate of nine pounds per barrel. So it’s packed with hop flavor. This one will for sure sell out quickly. Every Man Creates His Own God is available in their online store now, but T.S.P. will be available on Friday. They’re also selling some anniversary merch including a beer glass.
