Happy Halloween, my ghouls and goblins of the craft beer world. As we prepare for a night filled with trick or treating and lots of drinking, there are several Pittsburgh craft brews I’m picking up today to enjoy the rest of my Halloweekend. Here’s what’s in my treat basket:
Four Points Brewing: New Fangs DIPA (8%). First off, I love vampires, and this can art is fire. Also, I love DIPAs – anything big and tropical has me from the get-go. Brewed with citra and strata, this dank brew is the perfect Halloween treat for the Hazebois in your life!
Roundabout Brewing: Jacked Up O’Lantern Stout (5.8%). I know, I know, a pumpkin stout? How basic. Except this beer is the complete opposite. Perfect for a cold fall night, this lighter in abv porter is perfect for crushing while you hand out candy to all of the kiddos in your neighborhood. Expect the perfect balance between cinnamon, coffee, and pumpkin in this brew. It’s one of my top beers that I’ve had this season for sure!
Abjuration Brewing: Breakfast Cereal Ale 1.10 (5%). The mad scientists at Abjuration have the perfect brews ready for your weekend! The Breakfast Cereal series has been home run after home run. This iteration has the perfect Halloween twist to it – Count Chocula Cereal! Wheat, oat, cookie malt and lactose lay the base. It’s then conditioned with cereal, oat milk and Madagascar vanilla for that perfect cereal milk taste. A Halloween treat indeed!
Strange Roots Experimental Ales: Trunk Full of Ghosts IPA (5%). Again, the can art here is peak Spooky Season amazingness. Beer wise? Peak IPA awesomeness. Juicy and a thirst quencher, this IPA is dry-hopped with Eureka, Citra and Denali hops. The result? A sweet, citrusy beer with just the right amount of funk. This is a ghostly presence you want in your weekend, promise!
Have an amazing Halloween night, Fueled Fam! What’s in your glass tonight to celebrate? Let us know in the comments below.
