Our friends at female owned and operated Scarlet Lane Brewing take Halloween quite seriously. So serious, that it’s a month long celebration. Although, the taprooms don’t look much different from the rest of the months because at Scarlet Lane Brewing, it’s Halloween all year long.
Now here is an a-typical Pumpkin beer I can sink my fangs into!
“Slasher,” is a unique, mildly sweet Kolsch that comes around just once a year: Halloween weekend! It’s brewed with REAL smoked and roasted pumpkin seeds and is hopped sparingly with Willamette and Fuggle hops. Don’t expect pumpkin spice in this brew. You’ll get some smokey notes with touches of sea salt, cayenne and hot paprika, which is added to the whirlpool and gives the palate a nice heated finish. Slasher clocks in at 4% abv and at 13 IBUs.
Starting tonight, Slasher will be available for the first time and only on tap at all SLB locations, which is unfortunate for us who are not local to Indianapolis. However, if you still want to partake in some of the fun from afar, you can snag one of these cool limited edition Slasher hoodies!
The Halloween themed brewery is hosting a scary good brunch tomorrow at their SoBro Tap House and is giving discounts to folks dressed as Michael Myers.
So quick, round up your Michael Myers costumed friends, load up the van, and haul ass to Scarlet Lane Brewing because this weekend is sure to be one you don’t want to miss. (But if you do miss, Slasher will be back in 2021 for the sequel…)
