Adding to the growing number of breweries supporting the ACLU’s People Power beer movement, The Alchemist (Stowe, Vermont) are releasing their contribution, a barrel-aged British Imperial Stout.

Most know The Alchemist team thanks to their wildly popular and exceptional tasting IPAs. However, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not giving their other styles a chance. For an in-depth tasting session, check out this video with co-owner, John Kimmich.

This Imperial Stout features artwork from local artist, Crystal Stokes, who also has created and autographed prints of her original work that are on sale at the brewery.

In 2018, People Power Beer recruited over 85 participants from 32 states. Participating breweries are not required to brew a specific style. Instead, they are encouraged to celebrate any form of brewing expression by and for the people.

Breweries participating in the campaign are asked to submit a form on the ACLU website and to donate at least 10% of the proceeds from their participating beer to the ACLU.
