While some people don’t subscribe to the theory “if ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” Trillium Brewing (Boston, MA) has decided to keep at least one thing the same moving into this fall.
Trillium’s annual Deciduous Ale is making a return for another fall. While the brewers like to change the recipe a little bit each year or a different style altogether, last year’s recipe was such a hit, they will be brewing it again this year.
Heavily-oated with a generous dosage of Galaxy and Simcoe hops, this incarnation of the annual release is getting the brewery’s signature double dry hop to pack a lot of flavor and aroma into this DIPA beer.
If that wasn’t enough for fans, the brewery has also pulled out some bottles of 2018 Vintage Deciduous. A departure from the most current year’s recipe, this vintage is a strong ale brewed with fig, cacao nibs, and vanilla to achieve a distinctly less hop-forward flavor.
Try one, try both…just don’t do yourself a disservice and try neither!
